Abstract

The article examines the methodology of capacitive battery selection justification which is used as a reactive power compensator with the consideration of time-varying load during industry equipment operation. The daily loading diagram is presented as a combination of time intervals when the load is steady for which the battery capacity is chosen to ensure the optimal reactive power compensation.
